The excitement builds for Righteous Vow Volume 4: Black Masts & Magic as we begin to unlock pieces of the new classes being developed for the book. We have some cool spoilers up ahead. So get ready folks. The party is just getting started!
Hydromancer Class Unlocked!
We are smashing down stretch goals. And today we get to spoil the artwork for the Hydromancer Class! The hydromancer is a elementalist with a mastery of water. Focused on spells that manipulate the seas and the creatures within them. The hydromancer will have an entirely new set of spells like echolocation, water breathing, ice shards, tidal wave, and water elemental, all have their own unique flavor that will make players feel like their character is truly a master of their element. And the new artwork by Derek Stevens is another stellar original piece being added to the book to immerse you in the world of Righteous Vow.

We're working on the art for the Leviathan, so that will be spoiled once it's ready. And we're going to make an awesome POD art pack that everyone will receive as a digital reward. We couldn't have done it without you. And we want to thank each of you for your support of our new adventure, Righteous Vow Volume 4: Black Masts & Magic.
We are hard at work on getting the book together. We're already in layout and editing/playtesting will begin soon. Actually... as soon as next week. I will be at Gary Con 2026 running adventures from Righteous Vow 4! If you were one of the players lucky enough to get into one of my games, you'll get to playtest one of the new adventures from the book.
Yesterday was a whirlwind of Kickstarter awesomeness, including some livestreams that featured RV4 and what we're up to, getting this book ready for all of you. Here's a couple of links to those livestreams to watch if you'd like. Just in case you missed them!
I was on Tenkar's Tavern last night to talk all about the book and the new project along with gaming in general. Erik, Mike and Jim were excellent hosts. I had a ton of fun hanging out and talking about all sorts of RPG related stuff. And also some non-RPG related stuff. :)
We had some requests out there from our international backers for a Hardcover option. And due to popular demand. We are making a Hardcover POD pledge for international backers which is LIVE NOW. This comes with a couple of disclaimers just because I know people may get confused.
1. All international POD pledges are considered digital pledges. This means that you will only receive digital rewards with your pledge. We have to make this clear because we're not going to be shipping you anything. You will only be receiving the at-cost print code to print your book via DriveThruRPG and have it shipped to you there.
2. We are doing everything we can to be as inclusive as possible for digital backers and international backers. You will see this go around that our art packs are going to be POD. This is for two reasons. One, because it lets everyone print them at-cost (usually like $3 US for the entire pack) and it allows everyone the opportunity to get them. Not just physical backers. The second reason being that they can be printed in 8.5x11" format which gives you a larger art print. Which is even better!
3. The POD Hardbacks are not smyth sewn, and they do not have a ribbon bookmark. They are the same quality hardcovers you would receive from DriveThruRPG. But they are not the premium hardbacks printed by Crawl Club Publishing. Just to make that 100% clear.
Cool. Now that we have cleared that all up. Let's get back to cool stuff!

Dead Hawk Publishing is creating a set of pirate themed VTT Tokens to celebrate RV4: Black Masts & Magic's success! This token pack will include a set of 50 (yeah that's fifty tokens) for just $9.99 as an add-on. You can see their other tokens and work here on DriveThruRPG. Go add these to your pledge if you like playing on Foundry, Roll20, or any of the other excellent online options for gaming. They also work great printed out too! (I know because I have done it!)
